About us

You probably came to site because of a light. Well there is a life before the light that got me here.

I am third generation of trucking. My grandfather started back in the late 50's by moving oil drilling rigs around the Gulf Coast, and once in Alaska. My grandmother escorted wide loads for him up until 1985 when he had a stroke and could no longer walk, talk, or work anymore. For fifteen years she continued on escorting, but now it was for other companies, and he would ride along. He passed, and she continued on until she was diagnosed with Dementia and had to stop. During those early years my dad came back from Vietnam, and ended up in a truck and kept up the tradition of moving drilling rigs. Dad is now retired after 45 years on the road and over 5 million miles on the seat. But, before he retired he got me into trucking. I started in January of 2006 with one truck moving construction, and oilfield equipment. In 2002 I met a girl who became my wife in 2011, had our first and only child in 2015. In 2019 I shut my truck down for 6 months to restore it and customize it the way I wanted. Through the frame addition to rear of truck, rolling axles back, double frame added, pusher axle, fenders, brackets, lights and paint, I thought I was done. Then came the pain in the butt lights....the famous watermelon lights. They leaked, the foam gasket rotted, the lights would short out, blow fuses in the middle of the night and lose all lights. You name it, I fought it. A friend then told me about some lights that were being made to combat all those issues. Well I bought 28 at $120 and thought to myself, I hope they good. Well they were, and STILL are to this day. But I had one issue, they did not offer the stop/tail function in their base. I begged them for months to get something made. Nothing ever came about, unsure if they couldn't get to seal great or what it was. I then had a lil brain fart. I knew the 1156/1157  type bulbs were outdated and no longer being used in todays vehicle production. So I started measuring and drawing out a few prototypes, to finally making a few that I would run on my back bumper as tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. I was told by many I should make and market them. Honestly, for a while I didn't think there would be a market for them. But after hearing so much frustration about the old style leaking glass lights, and not having the dual purpose, I decided to take a chance and begin production. So here we are.... if you read this far into it, you now know i poured my heart and soul into these bases. I like to say to all those not so perfect parts that were thrown to the side... I didn't fail 200 times, I just found 200 different ways to make them!
